The Blacklight Paintings, Part 2
1997 "Deadly Beauty" 6x15 ft. acrylic on canvasBack in 1996-1998, I did a series of oversize blacklight paintings using UVFX Wildfire's fluorescent acrylic paints for the nightclub chain, Baja Beach Clubs.
The really cool part was in the studio, for part of the time painting these pieces I would work in complete darkness with just the blacklights on. When I'd spray certain areas it would look like colored light coming from the tip of my Iwata Eclipse airbrush.
